The Meridians of the Horse Uma Setsushin (Translation: The observation of the horse through his meridians)
is an essential and essential book for the good practice of shiatsu and veterinary acupuncture. The theory of meridians on the horse is not the result of ancient veterinary Chinese medicine. They are a transposition of the meridians of man, with the imperfections that entails. Indeed, the horse is placed on his middle finger, all the meridians are grouped on only 1 finger. However, the horse, like the human, has a neurovegégétative system and the resulting skin relations. So we can imagine that the horse's meridian system has as much physiological reality as in humans.
This work, highlights the different aspects of this system by dealing with ordinary meridian, tendino-muscular, wonderful vessels and communications channels called Luo. By taking over the ancient texts. These are mainly from the chapters of Sou Wen, Ling Shu but also a much newer work (3rd s.), The Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing (ordered treatise of acupuncture), because it is in this book that are described, For the first time, 249 acupuncture points.
In addition, the Chinese vision of veterinary medicine is developed through a roll dating from the 16th century, on which are described about 140 points of symptomatic acupuncture of the horse.
Beautiful rich book of information, simple and pleasant by the clarity of explanations, and schemas. Many technical illustrations: list of points by conditions, diagram and anatomical views, point description tables, locations and indications ... (see some examples opposite)
